Chef Chris Biard Joins The Restaurant at Russian River
September 20, 2016 The Restaurant at Russian River Vineyards announces the
arrival of Executive Chef, Chris Biard, for the nationally recognized
restaurant. Chef Biard, a graduate of
Culinary Institute of America (CIA), holds both a Culinary arts degree and a
baking and pastry arts certificate from the prestigious school. His professional career includes various roles
with world renowned restaurants, such as Wine Spectator Greystone Restaurant.
Chef Biard most recently was chef de cuisine for Napa’s La Taberna Restaurant. He has been an executive chef with several privately owned yachts, which provided adventures beyond the culinary variety, catering to the rich and famous on both coasts of the United States.
According to Chef Biard, “My roots are in the restaurant business starting at a young age with my family’s restaurant in Oklahoma. My passion was solidified while at CIA in New York, and I look forward to exploring new tastes and culinary opportunities that a true winery restaurant with an amazing farm can offer.”
The Restaurant at Russian River Vineyards has been recognized in 2016 by Open Table as one of the top 100 in the country for al fresco dining. The winery is one of five in California allowed to operate a full-time restaurant. Indoor dining includes a wine tasting lounge with music. Outdoor dining and wine tasting options are set among redwood trees and the winery’s estate vineyards.
The restaurant is open every day except Wednesday, although
